# Advanced Search

ResolvePro supports **attribute-based search**, giving you powerful control to find tickets and data using specific fields, keywords, time ranges, and logical operators.

### **Basic Usage Examples**

You can narrow your search by specifying attributes, such as:

- `customer.firstname: John`
- `customer.lastname: Doe`
- `state.name: open AND (article.from:me OR article.from:someone)`

Use parentheses `()` and logical operators `AND`, `OR`, and `!` (NOT) to combine conditions.

### **Common Search Attributes**

| Attribute | Example | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `number` | `number:1234567` | Search by ticket number (supports wildcards: `number:123*`) |
| `title` | `title:"Printer error"` | Searches the ticket title (use quotes for phrases) |
| `created_at` | `created_at:2023-08-01` | Supports date ranges and relative time, e.g. `created_at:>now-1d` |
| `state.name` | `state.name:(open OR new)` | Filter by ticket status |
| `article_count` | `article_count:[5 TO 10]` | Find tickets with a specific number of articles |
| `article.from` | `article.from:*bob*` | Find tickets containing messages from “bob” |
| `article.body` | `article.body:heat` | Search ticket content (supports fuzzy search `~` and regex `/…/`) |
| `tags` | `tags:feedback` | Find tickets with specific tags |

### **Combining Conditions**

Example:

```
pgsqlCopyEditstate.name:(closed OR open) AND (priority.name:"2 normal" OR tags:feedback)
```

Finds tickets that are open or closed, with priority "2 normal" or tagged with "feedback".

Negation example:

```
pgsqlCopyEditstate.name:(closed OR open) AND !(tags:spam)
```

Finds tickets that are open or closed but not tagged as spam.
