# Tabs

As you navigate through ResolvePro, each item you open—like tickets or contacts—appears as a **tab** in the main menu. These tabs allow for seamless multitasking without losing progress.

All unsaved changes are automatically saved in the background, so switching between tabs is safe and efficient.

### **What Opens as a Tab?**

- Existing tickets
- New ticket forms
- Customer profiles
- Organization profiles
- Omnisearch results

> 💡 *Tabs can be rearranged via drag-and-drop to suit your workflow.*

---

### **Tab Indicators and Colors**

ResolvePro uses color coding to indicate ticket states directly in tabs:

- 🟢 **Action needed** – New, Open, or Pending Reached
- 🟡 **Paused** – Pending
- ⚪ **No action needed** – Closed or Merged
- 🔴 **Urgent** – Escalated due to SLA breach

A **pulsing dot** next to a tab means there’s been new activity since you last viewed it.

---

### **Tab Behavior (Ticket View)**

When updating a ticket, the action ResolvePro takes with the current tab depends on system settings. By default, your admin defines the global behavior—but you can override this preference.

#### Options include:

- **Close tab** – The tab closes after an update
- **Close tab on close** – Tab only closes if the ticket state is set to Closed
- **Next in overview** – Automatically opens the next ticket from the same overview
- **Stay on tab** – Remain on the same tab after the update (default behavior)

> ⚙️ *You can change your personal tab behavior at the bottom right of the ticket view, next to the Update button. ResolvePro will remember your preference.*
