# Time Accounting

ResolvePro supports detailed time tracking to help administrators and teams monitor how much time is spent on individual tickets, customers, or organizations.

---

### 🕒 **Time Accounting Dialog**

If time accounting is enabled, you’ll see a **Time Accounting** dialog each time you update a ticket.

Here, you can enter the amount of time you spent working on the ticket.

> ⚠️ **Don’t see the dialog?**
> If this feature is not visible, your accountmanager likely hasn’t enabled it yet or its not part of your license.

---

### 🧮 **Units**

The time you enter is always saved as a unitless number (e.g. `5`).
However, your administrator may provide a label like “minutes” or “hours” next to the field to clarify which unit is expected.

---

### 📂 **Activity Types**

If your organization uses **Activity Types**, you’ll see a dropdown list during time entry.
This helps categorize time entries (e.g., *Support*, *Consultation*, *Research*, etc.).

You can:

- Select a relevant activity type.
- Remove the selection to log time as **general/unclassified** if needed.

> 🎯 One option may be selected by default, but you can change or clear it.

---

### 📊 **Viewing Accounted Time**

You can review logged time in the ticket view, at the bottom of the side panel.
There you’ll find:

- A **total time spent** across all updates.
- A **breakdown per activity type**, if applicable.

> This helps you and your team get insights into time investment per ticket or customer.
