Linking Tickets #
Tickets that are related — for example, multiple reports about the same delivery issue — can be linked together to keep context clear and accessible.
ResolvePro automatically links tickets that are merged or split, but you can also link tickets manually when needed.
Link Types #
There are two types of ticket links:
- Parent/Child – Used for merged or split tickets, or when one ticket logically depends on another (e.g., sub-tasks)
- Standard Link – A general connection between related tickets, with no hierarchy
💡 Use Parent/Child when there’s a main issue with supporting threads. Use standard links when tickets are connected but independent.
How to Link Tickets #
- Open the ticket pane
- Scroll to the Links section (below Tags)
- Click ➕ Add Link
- In the link dialog, either:
- Enter the ticket number, or
- Choose from recent customer or recently viewed tickets
- Select the link type from the dropdown
- Click Submit
Once submitted, the tickets will be visibly linked under the “Links” section, with the selected relationship clearly shown.
